Absolutely a brilliant idea. It saddens me that Andrew Patrick has seen and passed along your previous thread without any action or announcement.
Previous thread:http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10177936
It would be nice to at least hear confirmation one way or the other if this is something they can or want to implement, or if this will take too much time from GW2 for them to pursue.
edit: Perhaps no news is good news? Their response might be to go live with this in a future update.

It's pretty funny how you're fix to PvP is mainly based on 1v1..
But nonetheless, the ideas are good. /signed

(Actually I might have signed before, don't know if this is the same thread or a different one, but just in case it is a different thread.)
This is an excellent idea, particularly the permanent visitors.

1v1 was just one of the options listed in the OP; it's not the focus of this thrread, at all. Rather, I see this as constructive suggestions to increase the available number of playtypes of PvP using assets already in-game. Also, it'd be real nice to be able to do more in Guild Halls in a game called Guild Wars. Yay for stickie!

Alot of my guildies like to 1vs1 and the current options just plain fail. I like these ideas because people would have the option to PvP for FUN rather than for PvP glory or w/e. I can guarantee you that more people would actually log on just to do this.

Yea thats a sweet idea =]
may i suggest one improvement tho?
This really shouldn't require a guild hall, since any1 wanting to do this kind of PvP would have to be high ranked in a guild with a guild hall.
I think there prolly should be another island on the isles where you could do this sort of thing. Essentially a glorified lobby =P, where you can create the games and join etc.

I wasn't expecting this when I clicked on the sticky
I don't really know what to say but I can say that this is something that GW truly needs and it would be great to see it happen.

Wouldn't it be easier if Anet just said that we could guest people for free?
The other thing I would like is the facility to invite more than 20 people as guests (for parties, and team events) and also for guilds to do this if they have more than 80 members.
The current system allows for 20 guests. But if your guild has say 90 members, you are only allowed 10 invites.
